Michael Raimondo studied Environmental Science and worked for the World Conservation Union (IUCN), project managing the SADC’s water demand management project. After 3 years with IUCN, Michael founded African Renaissance and Green Renaissance Production companies, with the aim of using films as a means to change perception and awareness around environmental issues. For the last 15 years Michael has worked in the film industry, and to date has directed and produced over 300 short films, as well as 100 half an hour episodes for South Africa TV.
He specializes in creating environmental content within Southern Africa and works with the top environmental NGO’s . He and his team have won numerous awards and have established a substantial global following.
Green Renaissance today has one of the biggest social media platforms in South Africa with over two million people per week engaging with our content. Online, over ten million people have seen Green Renaissance videos.
